I haven’t been (consistently) active on this blog in a while, but maybe that’ll change in time as I grow tired of social media. I’m thinking about moving the blog though and separating the Freemasonry posts to another domain of mine. I likely going to move the personal blog to a subfolder like michaelhodges.com/blog or maybe it’s own subdomain like blog.michaelhodges.com.
Also, I’m thinking of transferring the posts relating to Freemasonry to a domain I use mostly just for email with my Masonic lodges. That domain is abif.ws. The “ws” TLD (top-level domain) is for Western Samoa, but I use it as “widow’s son”, as in Hiram Abif, the Widow’s Son; who’s is a central character of an allegory presented to candidates in the fraternity.
The reason I’m going to move the blog is that I’d like to clean up the main homepage and set it up more as an “about me” in the index page and link off to other parts like the blog from there. Also, I’ve got a couple of development projects on iOS and macOS that I’m hoping to launch by spring and I’d like to showcase those and more on the homepage as I attempt to kickoff an indie development portfolio.
I figured also if I moved the freemasonry posts to that abif.ws domain, I could share it with other Freemasons that would like to author blog posts and articles on it.
