They didn’t ask for safe spaces.
They didn’t ask for therapy dogs.
They didn’t cry about how it wasn’t fair.
They didn’t give two shits about political correctness.
They ran towards danger.
They smiled in the face of hardship.
They fought.
For you.
For me.
A bunch of them didn’t come home.
A bunch of them never saw their families again
A bunch of them didn’t see their kids grow up.
But they never complained.
They knew what there job was.
They knew what they had to do.
They did it.
With Honor, Courage, and Determination.
Nowadays “Back To Back World War Champs” t-shirts are “offensive”
Nowadays 18 years olds are crying because their exam was hard.
Nowadays kids need fucking dogs to get through finals week.
75 years ago these braves fellas sucked it up and pulled off the greatest liberation of the 20th century.
